The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-1071) is a direct-fit replacement for 1993-2011 Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles with 4.6L and 4.0L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
