The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-1080) is a direct-fit replacement for 2004-2014 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles with 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
