The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-91007) is a direct-fit replacement for 1984-1997 Ford and Mercury vehicles with 5.8L, 5.0L, and 7.5L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
