The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-91078) is a direct-fit replacement for 1999-2008 Ford, Mazda, and Mercury vehicles with 2.5L, 2.0L, and 3.0L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
