The Fel-Pro 2918 is a Premium Fluoroelastomer; high vacuum rear main seal set that seals the crankshaft where it exits the engine block, sealing the rotating crank journal against oil leaks at the rear main bearing, restoring a clean sealing surface for a reliable, oil-tight seal.

Performance Application: GMP Performance V8, 396 (6.5L), 402 (6.6L), 427 (7.0L), 454 (7.4L), 502 (8.2L); GMP Performance V8, Pro Stock 500.

Important Notes:

• Lubricate the seal lip and crankshaft journal lightly before installation; never run the lip dry.
• Verify one-piece versus two-piece rear main seal design against your engine before ordering.
• Rear main seal replacement usually requires removing the oil pan or transmission - inspect the oil pan gasket and rear main bearing while the area is open.
