The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-1018) is a direct-fit replacement for 1987-1999 Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles with 2.8L, 2.0L, and 3.1L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
