The Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensor (part number 240-1001) is a direct-fit replacement for 1995-2001 Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles with 2.2L, 2.3L, and 3.1L engines. Vehicle Speed Sensors send electrical pulses to the computer, pulses which are generated through a magnet that spin a sensor coil. When the vehicle’s speed increases, the frequency of the pulse also increases.
