The Enginetech ECP8359 is a variable valve timing (VVT) cam sprocket/phaser assembly, manufactured from stainless steel. Fits 2014-2021 Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC 5.3L/6.2L applications.
Important Notes
- One phaser required per engine on this application. If the engine uses multiple cam positions (intake + exhaust, or dual-bank), the other positions use different part numbers.
- Construction: stainless steel sprocket body for tooth-wear durability and dimensional stability under chain load.
- Service recommendation: replace the VVT phaser as part of any major timing chain service. A worn or sticking phaser causes cam timing codes (P0011, P0014, P0016, P0017), rough idle, and loss of power at specific RPM bands.

Enginetech Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Cam Sprockets are precision-engineered cam phaser assemblies that replace the OE VVT sprocket at the front of the camshaft. The phaser integrates with the engine oil control solenoid to vary intake or exhaust cam timing on demand, tuning power delivery, emissions, and fuel economy across the RPM range.
